President Barack Obama is currently in Israel and the presidential limo was brought from Washington, D.C. to the country for the visit. Except it’s not going to be going anywhere, other than on a trailer and heading back to the U.S.
The custom Cadillac, built to protect the President, was accidentally filled with the wrong fuel causing it to become inoperable. Since it is the presidential limo, it’s unknown whether or not it was a diesel engine that got standard gasoline, or a standard gasoline engine that got diesel fuel. Of course it’s a costly mistake if it’s a standard gasoline engine that’s now filled with diesel fuel.
On a standard vehicle, removing the fuel system wouldn’t be a huge hassle, along with emptying and cleaning out the tank and the fuel lines to get the vehicle back on the road. But since it’s a custom-built vehicle, very few know what modifications have been done to the vehicle and how difficult it would be to clean out the system.
Either way, President Obama now has a reason to convert “The Beast” to a greener presidential limo.
